Thuli Phongolo may have made her television debut as one of the hosts of e.TV’s Craze. Her widespread success, though, was arguably as the rebellious and tech-savvy teenage Namhla on Generations: The Legacy.
When the young star departed the acting position, she made it plain that her priority will be polishing her musical talents. As a result, in recent years, she has established herself as one of the major “DJing baddies,” whose abilities have occasionally been called into question.
However, it does not appear that this has prevented Phongolo from pursuing her aspirations. Especially given her recent Instagram posts.
Thuli P is currently working on music. Thuli P appears to be ready to put the past behind her and focus on her latest musical venture after taking a break from social media for a few days.
This comes after she said on her Instagram stories that she plans to start producing her own music. As a result, she teased a tune she’s working on via her tales, on which she’s teaming with producer-composer Given Zulu.
Interestingly, at first glance, Given could be confused with the man Thuli is believed to be dating. This man is none other than one-half of the musical duo Scorpion Kings, Sonnyboy “Maphorisa” Sekowe.
Recently, the assumed couple was the site of drama as their relationship faced an “abuse” hurdle. As reported in light of the aftermath:
the couple released joint statements basically informing the public that they have resolved their relationship woes privately. They asked people to refrain from making any more defamatory statements regarding the incident.
“Being public figures, it is unavoidable that the public, media, and their respective commercial partners all have an interest in this matter. Accordingly, they have decided to release this joint statement as the official and exclusive statement in the matter.
“The matter has received mixed public attention, causing a great deal of emotional stress on both parties involved. It is on this basis that the parties have elected to resolve this matter privately through their respective management and legal teams. Consequently, Phongolo has since withdrawn the charges laid against Sekowe.”
Their statements continue, “Both parties have noted with concern, the disparaging, defamatory and (in some instances) untrue remarks, statements and reports emanating from the incident and view these in a serious light. The parties reserve their rights to individually pursue legal action against people making defamatory and/or false statements in relation to this matter.”
Users on social media are having a field day with their statements. Some anticipated Thuli’s move, while others were taken aback. Tweeps mocked the couple with the hashtag #ForeverYena.
