Springbok’s Jan Serfontein And Wife Welcome Their Daughter

Jan Serfontein of the Springboks and his wife Lani Scholtz Serfontein welcomed a beautiful baby girl on April 4. Serfontein is a French rugby player for Montpellier Hérault.

The couple, who had been dating since high school, married on February 20, 2016, at Franschhoek’s stunning La Paris Estate. They have been living in Montpellier, France, since 2017. Montpellier, a Top 14 club, renewed the center’s contract through 2024.

The couple will celebrate seven years of marriage bliss in February 2023 before becoming parents in April. Lani celebrated this milestone by posting a beautiful wedding photo of herself and Jan on Instagram, along with a loving statement for her spouse.

In December 2022, Lani travelled to South Africa to attend her baby shower, which her mother and sister hosted at the Kleine Eike Estate in Greyton.

She posted saying:

“Got to celebrate our baby with all my closest friends and family this past weekend. My mom and sister put together such a beautiful day. Thank you to everyone that blessed us with their presence and for showering us with love and gifts. Grateful to have you all in our lives. Baby girl, we can’t wait to meet you. You are so loved already.”

Jan Serfontein is a South African professional rugby union player who was born on April 15, 1993. He plays center for Montpellier in the French Top 14 league. He was a member of South Africa’s under-20 squad that won the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship!

As a result of his efforts in the competition, he was named the 2012 IRB Junior Player of the Year. He was also a member of the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship team, but was eventually removed so that he could compete for the senior national team.

Jan Serfontein made his Springboks debut against Italy on June 8, 2013 at Kings Park Stadium in Durban. In the 71st minute, he came off the bench to replace Bryan Habana  in the 71st minute.
