Somizi Mhlongo admits he dislikes speeches and has warned his friends about it.
In an Instagram video, the media personality says he will send a video-like invitation card to the people he wants to attend his 50th birthday celebration.
Som went on to say that the event will be all about eating and drinking, with no speeches because he dislikes them.
He stated that people can give him speeches without having to wait for a special occasion.
Mhlongo insisted that no speeches be read or said at his funeral.
“Just come and eat and drink… No speeches. I have always told my friend, my friends know I hate speeches, I loathe the speeches, I despise speeches, and it makes you wonder, am I weird? but even if I’m the only one, I don’t care. Whether it’s my birthday, it’s my wedding, even at my funeral, preferably, no one speaks, because I believe in give me the speeches, don’t wait for a special occasion,” he said in the video.
