Busisiwe “Bucie” Nkomo (née Nqwiliso) owes Nedbank Limited over R300,000 for her repossessed car, according to reports.
According to the Daily Sun, the Superman singer has been ignoring calls to pay her car payments, which have been piling up.
The bank allegedly dragged Bucie to the Gauteng Local Division of the High Court in Johannesburg to force her to pay her instalments for her 2016 Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 BiTDi.
According to the publication, the court papers show that the Easy To Love hitmaker paid R766 958,40 for the car and was expected to pay R10 651.25,70 in monthly installments.
In October 2018, the court granted Nedbank’s application for Bucie to return the car. In addition, the musician is allegedly liable for the payment of the repair invoice of the car — which was first valued at R70 000 then later, R155 000.00 excluding VAT.
A year after Bucie’s car was repossessed, it was sold for 218 500.00 which was duly credited to the bank.
“The net proceeds of the sale amounted to R188 828.42 after the reasonable costs of auction and default charges were deducted from the gross amount received.
“The sale proceeds were insufficient to discharge the defendant’s full liability to the plaintiff in terms of the agreement,” the court papers read.
She reportedly owes R322 203,72 as of September last year.
MUSIC RETURN?
In July last year, Bucie announced her return — much to the excitement of her fans.
In a series of Instagram posts, the songstress wrote: “We often hear things like ‘Time unfolds that which needs to be’. Nothing epitomises that statement more like the dress on this since. Increasing the pace to try and catch up with what’s happening around you is Not only detrimental but can exhaust your willpower and your soul. Greatness cannot be rushed. We will surely get to where we are supposed to RIGHT ON TIME.”
She again posted, “I am back!”
