Twitter has since divided over whether the Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha story or the Load shedding stage 8 story should be on the main pages. Of course, the Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha tale has been trending in recent weeks. However, Twitter users have observed a difference in the front pages of newspapers.
The Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha case appeared to be a long one, and it had been revealing a lot as fans were amused. However, some people have proposed that the South African worldview should shift.
It is an issue of prioritization, but Twitter is on fire as followers dispute over which story should receive more attention.
Indeed, this story has been topping headlines for the past two weeks, and almost everyone in the country is aware of the story. Facebook criminal Thabo Bester and her lover Dr Nandipha get caught in Tanzania seeking a hiding place.
They have since been brought back to South Africa and are yet to face trial and get the full consequences of their actions. Indeed, Thabo Bester looked so politically connected, but it was his time to meet the full wrath of the law. Certainly, load shedding had been the better time on the front pages before stage 8, but the Thabo Bester and DR Nandipha story had brought a national shock.
The load-shedding issue had existed long before Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha went viral, but not at stage 8. The Stage 8 load shedding means that power will be interrupted for 12 hours a day, which is quite a lot.
Some Twitter users were irritated by the fact that practically all newspaper top pages continue to prioritize the Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipa affair. David Kaul, a Twitter user, expressed his displeasure:
We’re in stage 8 LOADSHEDDING and every newspaper front page is Nandi and Bester. We’re sooo fu_ked!
We’re in stage 8 LOADSHEDDING and every newspaper front page is Nandi and Bester.
We’re sooo fucked! 🇿🇦
