On Sunday, March 12, South African Kwaito musician and producer Arthur Mafokate took to Instagram to express his condolences to the late Mzansi rappers Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, also known as AKA, and Constantinos Tsobanoglou, better known by his stage name, Costa Titch, by reflecting on a time they had worked together and sharing a video of the rappers performing live together.
‘REST IN PEACE’: COSTA TITCH SENDS HIS CONDOLENCES TO AKA
AKA was shot and killed at the age of 35 in Durban on 10 February on Florida road just moments before he was set to perform at Yobu night club in the area.
Exactly a month ago, Costa Titch was seen on his Instagram expressing his disbelief over AKA’s passing, saying,
“Still doesn’t feel real… Love you forever, big bro!”
Costa Titch recently collapsed during a performance and died. He was only 28 years.
According to Sky News, the incident happened at the Ultra Music Festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday, 11 March.
Taking to Instagram, Mofokate could not hold back his feelings and shared his appreciation to the late rappers for previously working with him and said they had created a masterpiece of a performance, saying,
“This is still one of my proudest moments in Live Event Productions, we took a chance and proposed these great artists to the client who had a much bigger vision for artists, and they accepted the challenge, and we created this masterpiece.
“I will forever cherish your support AKA & Costa – May your Souls Rest in Peace. #RipCostaTich #RipAKA,” he added.
