This year has been Emtee’s most successful in his entire career. This is not due to his musical accomplishments over the last year. However, it is due to how much his personal life appears to have improved. From resolving any drama or complications with his long-term partner and mother to his two children.
The Roll Up hitmaker also confirmed that he has finally stopped drinking lean, permanently this time. Furthermore, with the exception of headlines that have rehashed his previous troublesome behavior, it appears that everything is on the up and up on the professional front.
Emtee confirms 2023 for new album release
Logan currently marks Emtee’s last released album. Marking his fourth studio album, and the second independent album he released under his record label Emtee Records, the album was touted as one of the best Hip-Hop albums of that year. A fact which is no surprise considering that the album had hits like Johustleburg, Laqasha and Long Way.
Therefore, fans had expected the touted King of Hooks to release another project this year. But Emtee has recently asserted that his fan base can expect a new album in 2023. Moreover, that the album is a follow-up to his 2018 released album and his first independent project DIY2 with the upcoming album set to be titled DIY3.

While the news of upcoming new music made his fans happy. His subsequent tweets did not receive the same warm welcome.
Emtee begging for gigs?
Taking to Twitter, Emtee shared how he believes he is a broken soul.

A sentiment which is surprising considering that in his latest Instagram live that he seemed to suggest that he was feeling better than ever. Not only did he affirm having stopped lean, but he asserted that he was planning to work on gaining muscle after his latest weightloss journey.

Hence it was no surprise that the comments seemed to suggest that he was just seeking attention, a fact which he rebutted.

But what seemed to incense him was the suggestion that he was begging for gigs. This comes off the back of his commentary on a trap house concert which did not include him on the headlining list. In light of his previous sentiments of not being included on the Cotton Fest lineup and his recent attempt to mend bridges with Cassper Nyovest and subsequently be included in the Fill Up supporting acts lineup.
Traphouse without big hustle!? 🤔 how? https://t.co/mkocMXpjPG

It seemed only fair to ask whether his gigs have dried up. But Emtee seemed to laugh off the suggestion by alluding to the fact that he is just concerned with earning money for January 2023.

As a result, his sentiments do not address whether his continued highlighting of gigs and festivities that do not include him is a cry for help akin to Dr. Malinga’s prior to his recent change of fortune. However, based on his Instagram, it appears that he is still booked and busy.
