‘Open Your Bek!’: YoungstaCPT Wants Answers From AKA’s Friends

YoungstaCPT, a South African musician, is one of many local artists who have expressed concern about the investigation into late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. The musician, who held a memorial for AKA in Cape Town shortly after his death, took to Twitter to say that there should have been some progress made in regards to AKA’s murder.

On 10 February this year, the 35-year-old was killed outside Wish Restaurant in Durban, where he was dining with industry friends before a performance at Yugo Nightclub.

Cape Town-based rapper Youngsta CPT — real name Riyadh Roberts — has been severely impacted by the death of fellow musician AKA who was assassinated in Durban almost two months ago.

Taking to social media repeatedly, Youngsta criticised Durban and Johannesburg law enforcement, saying that they are not doing enough to pinpoint the people behind the murder.

According to Youngsta, if AKA had been killed in Cape Town, someone would have been behind bars by now.

The rapper has once again headed to Twitter to air his frustrations about the lack of progress with the case.

He also called out AKA’s closest friends and associates for not showing any concern about his death.

While lambasting the police for their silence too.

“I shouldn’t be the most upset about Kiernan dying! Where’s his close brasse? Where’s the team? Where’s the associates? Where’s the law? Come now ouens, open your bek & DALA WHAT YOU MUST!” he wrote.

PEEPS WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE

Many people in the comment section agreed that things around the star’s death are a little too quiet.

Take a look at a couple of their comments:

@lane_jazzysa said:

“The snakes go in hiding when there’s unresolved chaos. You only see em when it’s quiet.”

@thatdudebeekay commented:

“The saddest thing right now is how much the country that he loved is failing to give him justice. That broer loved this nation, with everything in him.”
