Connie Ferguson has announced that she will play the lead in the second season of Netflix’s original series Kings of Joburg. This follows the untimely death of her husband, Shona Ferguson.
Shona, one of the series’ lead actors and producers, died in July 2021 of Covid-19-related complications at the age of 47.
Although Connie made a few appearances as a mermaid during the first season of the show, she is most likely to lead the series this time around.
The actress shared the first look at the series on her Instagram account.
She shared a reel with cast members from some of Netflix’s most popular shows, including How to Ruin Christmas- The Baby Shower and Blood and Water.
