In a Thursday tweet, Nandi Madida expresses her excitement for the Amapiano genre.
The multi-talented star expressed her hope that the genre would be recognized as a South African sound.
She also wants the aforementioned genre’s producers, DJs, and vocalists to be empowered on a global scale.
“My hope is that this beautiful genre called Amapiano grows around the world as it is, but that the world knows & appreciates the fact that it is a South African sound. And that South African artists/Dj’s/producers etc. are empowered on a global scale & not appropriated,” she wrote.
