Makhadzi is having a great time after winning the artist of the year award at the inaugural Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs). Makhadzi is without a doubt one of the country’s most successful female musicians, and she is on a roll.
She has learned to diversify her talent and keep income streams open after learning how volatile the industry is. The MaGear hitmaker recently sold out Tzaneen, Limpopo’s Makhuvha Stadium.
Makhadzi and social media users couldn’t stop congratulating her on reaching the milestone. Master KG, King Monada, and Amapiano stars Lady Du and Daliwonga were among the festival’s star performers.

Lamiez Holworthy and Lerato Kganyago, two of Mzansi’s favorite DJs, took home two awards each. DJ Holworthy was named DJ of the Year and Music TV Presenter of the Year, while Kganyago received the Mosadi in Business Achievement Award and was named Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year.
