Kgaogelo Moagi, commonly known as Master KG, is a South African musician who is not just a national treasure but also a worldwide sensation who has made the globe dance.
Master KG came dangerously close to death in September 2021 when the jet he was traveling in had engine failure and nearly crashed.
Here are all of the specifics concerning Master KG’s terrifying trip, including a comprehensive explanation of why they didn’t just land after the incident but had to fly for four hours further.
Details of Master KG’s plane crash
On September 8, 2021, the Jerusalema hitmaker took to Twitter to share his ordeal aboard a Turkish Airlines trip from Istanbul to Johannesburg.
He claimed that immediately after takeoff, one of the plane’s engines exploded, forcing them to circle for four hours before returning to the airport.
“Damm this BS Flight @TurkishAirlines left side engine just exploded just after we take off from Istanbul! We had to round for 4 hours So it can lower the fuel level so we can land back at the airport…for a minute I thought it was over! GOD is Amazing big up to the Pilots.” He wrote.
Master KG further shared a short clip of the plane’s engine emitting some sparks and we can only imagine how scared he and the rest of the passengers were at the time. Fortunately, the plane landed safely and nobody was harmed.
