Musa Mseleku, who wants a fifth wife, says that being a polygamist is different from having more than one sexual partner.
Musa Mseleku, a traditionalist and reality TV star, has stressed how important it is to not have more than one sexual partner, even though he is a polygamist.
In an interview with Drum before Mzansi Magic’s four-part series Black Conversation, the businessman with four wives and 10 children explained the difference between his sexual lifestyle and putting one’s life at risk by getting sexually transmitted diseases.
The host of Mnakwethu told the publication that the only reason he is marrying more than one woman is to grow his family’s legacy.
“I’m not an adult film star. I’m not doing this to get sexual satisfaction. People find it fun to have more than one sexual partner, but that’s not what I’m after. “I want to build up the Mseleku name in a good way,” he says.
On his reality show Uthando Nes’thembu with his wives MaCele, MaYeni, MaKhumalo, and MaNgwabe, he has always talked about his dream, which is to have 20 children. Because of this, he has been at odds with them over his plans to marry his fifth wife, who is also a MaKhumalo.
“From the start, I’ve been clear about my goals and plans. I love my family. In a polygamous marriage, one of the first things to talk about is sexual health and education. The family needs to know that the person you are bringing is healthy. Men sometimes kill the people they say they love in order to make themselves happy. Mseleku said that health checks are done on all of his wives.
“Everyone needs to get tested for HIV/AIDS and other diseases,” he says. “If you have unprotected sex and then get sick, we need to know where it started so we don’t blame each other.”
“We don’t want a situation in which I end up blaming my wives, since men like to put the blame on other people. So, one of the most important things to talk about before anything else is sexual health. It’s wrong for men and women to have more than one partner, because that’s not what polygamy is about.”
Black Conversation, a new show on Mzansi Magic, will start on Thursday, October 20, at 21:30.
Phil Mphela, who writes about entertainment, says that the four-part series is a show where “people in similar and/or different spaces just sit and debate or share their views on different topics.”
It will look at things like cancel culture, colorism, body shaming, polygamy, and more.
Musa Mseleku, Dineo Ranaka, Celeste Ntuli, Phil Mphela, Tall A$$ Mo, Ayabonga Cawe, Mthokozisi “Mablerh” Cele, Rhode Marshall, Lesego “Coconut” Kelz Tlhabi, Penuel Mlotshwa, Felix Hlophe, and Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo are on the show’s panel
Oh by the way, I’m on a new show called Black Conversations
It’s a nice concept show where individuals in similar and or contrasting spaces just sit and debate or share views on various topics
