The gun used to allegedly murder Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has been discovered.
The gun was seized in uMlazi, south of Durban, during the weekend, according to a source close to the investigation who was not authorized to speak to the media.
The 9mm pistol was positively linked to the shooting incident that claimed the lives of the two guys, according to ballistics.
A man in his twenties is said to have been apprehended.
However, another account claims that the pistol was for rent.
Forbes and Motsoane were assassinated on February 10 at Durban’s Florida Road.
Forbes was leaving Wish Restaurant when a shooter approached him and shot him, killing him instantly.
Motsoane, a celebrity chef and entrepreneur, was assassinated as well.
When asked for comment, KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda urged the media to give SAPS investigators enough time to investigate without excessive pressure.
Four males were arrested in March, reportedly in connection with the murder, but were later released.
One of the males was arrested and charged with hijacking.
The men’s attorney told the publication that the police had no justifiable justification to arrest her clients.
According to lawyer Annelene van den Heever, “they allowed the narrative of my clients being linked to the AKA investigation and didn’t comment at the time.”
Van den Heever stated that the arrests were irregular and unlawful in her judgment.
