Thuli Mfeka, who called Gogo Maweni and many other South African healers phony, receives a response from Gogo Maweni. Maweni, whose real name is Lee-Anne Makopo, told Mfeka that she has always lived the good life and that her traditional healer practices prevented her from achieving what she has now.
Following her unpleasant statements about her calling, Maweni removed Mfeka and put her in her place.
“I was not going to address this but it is actually very funny that a whole human being that was birthed, that was pushed out by its mother has the audacity to create a fake account to tarnish the names of the healers in South Africa. Firstly, mind you, why don’t you have the balls to create an account with your real name and real pictures?” asked Maweni.
She further spoke about her upbringing and how she has always lived the high life.
“I was never born into poverty. I knew there was Louis Vuitton and Gucci before I became a healer. I knew how champagne tasted like before I became a healer. You have so much time, you have nothing else to do but to sit and think about something nasty to say about the famous South African healers. I’m so perplexed because I traveled the world before you even thought about it, I’ve sat in the most expensive cars, I grew up in a big house, I was never brought up in poverty,” she further said.
She said her job as a healer is not the cause of her high life but she is used to it from birth.
“I never became who I am because I am healer. I have always lived a high standard life. I am surprised that somebody feels that somehow we are manipulating people to buy expensive clothes, drinks and cars.. I was never brought up in poverty and I have never suffered in my life so don’t talk sh*t about me,” she said.
But Mfeka did not take the insults lightly, she said her account I not fake and that Maweni could have guessed that from the minute she addressed her if she was indeed gifted.
“Dr. G Maweni …my account isn’t fake. A whole “gifted” person couldn’t decipher that? Stop making empty threats, you don’t scare me with your fake calling. Your threats are as fake as that accent and that filter you use. You don’t bother me, uqinisile ke lapho but you are taking advantage of people’s misery and I won’t let you. I will be awaiting your retaliation. I await your retaliation gogo wabo,” she hit back.
Maweni recently landed on the wrong side of Twitter when she bragged about her new purchase and told Trolls that they are poor.
“Good morning, just a quick one. I just wanted to let you know. Please whenever you are gossiping about me, and about me being ugly. Just remember one thing darlings, I am a graduate, I have a degree. I am rich, I have my own houses, I have land, I have cars, I am married. I am a mom to three amazing sons, I can travel whenever I want to” said Gogo Maweni
“I don’t depend on any man nor do I ask my parents for any money. I don’t qualify for grant, no darlings I don’t receive SASSA, nor do I qualify for the R350. So, while you are out there, talking about me, just remember those few things, we are not on the same level.”
