Durban Gen has taken a break since Zenande Mfenyana joined the cast.
Zenande plays Nontsikelelo, a convicted murderer who is imprisoned.
While in jail for murdering her abusive husband, Dr Dhlomo, Nontsikelelo befriended nurse Sne, played by Nombulelo Mhlongo.
The show, however, is on hiatus beginning Friday, December 16, and will return on January 9.
Durban Gen will be replaced by Men Don’t Cry, according to e.tv’s Thapelo Ramatsui.
The free-to-air television station e.tv confirmed in a press release that they would be adjusting their normal programming for the holiday season.
