Amapiano’s king, Kabza de Small, is known as a cheat code for hitmakers. A cheat code that Cassper is likely to exploit after 2022’s unimpressive music.
The rapper-turned-Amapiano artist shared a snippet of his Kabza-produced single recently. The snippet suggests an Amapiano or Hip-Hop album. This is because the lyrics use English, which is rare in Amapiano songs, let alone hit singles.

Moreover, it seems that Cassper is also hoping if the Kabza production does not work, that Casper will revert to his old ways. Specifically, using current talent to propel himself. This is as his introduction to Amapiano was through his collaborative work with Major League DJz and Focalistic.
But now it seems that Cassper is looking to leverage his recently announced Billiato ambassador Toss to further his ambitions of producing a current hit rather than use his catalogue as evidence of his hit-making abilities. This is as he shared that he believes that he has a hit with Toss and Kabza, with the dilemma being who between himself and Toss should “own” the rights to the song…

Cassper Nyovest did a lot of successful things in 2022. However, most of them had to do with his various business ventures. Whether it was the success of Billiato as one of the fastest-growing alcohol brands of the year, his launch of the celebrity boxing matches, or the establishment of his clothing brand Root of Fame as a growing and expanding fashion brand. Cassper asserted himself as a formidable businessman.
However, for his gains in business, it seemed that the thing that was taking the hardest knock was what introduced Cassper to the world in the first place, and that was music. Reported at the time:
Cassper Nyovest promised that his upcoming album was touted as a Hip-Hop album. He even suggested that this album will see him return to focusing on writing bars. A fact which surprised many considering the amount of slack he receives for his penmanship of late.
As such, he began the rollout for the album through attempting “unconventional” releases. First, it was the surprise release of his lead single Put Your Hands Up. While Cassper suggested on social media that the single was instrumental in reviving Hip-Hop as it did initially climb the Apple Music charts. Anyone who can say they remember the song today, is clearly a Cassper fan.
Moreover, the subsequent releases which included 4 Steps Back, Pardon My Arrogance and Bana Ba Stout, were singles that failed to have a lasting impact outside of the week that they were released. As such, it seems that Cassper has pivoted from his intentions to release a Hip-Hop album to seeing if his Amapiano singles will catch.
