Now that Steve Harvey has stepped down, there are growing calls for our IT girls to take center stage at the Miss Universe pageant. Everyone is talking about TV personality and businesswoman Bonang Matheba, but she may face stiff competition from radio and TV personality Anele Mdoda.
Steve Harvey, a stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and author, has hosted the Miss Universe Pageant for the past five years. However, the Miss Universe Academy will now stream on Roku starting next year, effectively terminating Harvey and the Fox channel’s contract.

A robust debate has sparked on Twitter while tweeps are calling out for Bonang Matheba to host the pageant. Matheba is no strange to hosting pageants and tweeps feel as though she would be a perfect fit to handle the hosting duties next year.

However, other scores of tweeps are vouching for Anele Mdoda to take the center stage and host the Miss Universe Pageant. Mdoda is not new to the international stages as recently she hosted the hosted the 25th anniversary of The Lion King on Broadway.
