VIDEO: Big Zulu Responds To Death Prophecy About Him

Big Zulu, a musician and businessman whose real name is Siyabonga Nene, has responded after learning of a “prophecy” predicting his death.

The “prophecy” comes from David Uche, a self-proclaimed South African-based and Nigerian-born prophet who predicted that the Imali Eningi hitmaker would be involved in a horrific accident.

The “man of God” can be heard saying in a video shared on TikTok and later shared on Twitter, dated 24 February 2023, that he sees Big Zulu in a car full of blood. He tells his congregation that they should pray for the rapper because the accident is expected to happen in March or April.

The prophet also makes mention of choreographer and Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo, however, he does not go into detail.

“His name is Big Zulu. I’ve been praying for him for an extension because this thing will happen in March next month, March, April,” he said. “As I keep praying, I was also praying for Somizi, but now this other man who is very extreme his name is Big Zulu,” he added.

Responding to the, after a fan tagged him, Big Zulu said: “Siyabonga kakhulu ngomthandazo kodwa khona izinto ezingekho kwawam amandla [Thank you very much for the prayer but there are things that are not in my power].”

Uche’s prophecy about Big Zulu is not the first about South African celebrities.

In May last year, Prophet Mellontik Orasi reportedly predicted the death of “a male celebrity in the South African arts industry”. He said the media personality would “die shortly if prayer is not made.” He, however, did not mention a name.

When news of former Rhythm City actor Jamie Bartlett’s death brok on 23 May, the prophet claimed his premonition was fulfilled. He shared a picture oBartlett on Facebook following the news with the caption: “May he rest in peace”.

A month later, the same preacher “prophecied” about the death of singer Kelly Khumalo.

In a deleted Facebook post, Orasi wrote: “Until the [court] case is over. Proper security is needed for Kelly, cold-blood murder. Don’t kill her!”
