While many South Africans have been focused on the horrifying revelations surrounding Thabo Bester’s escape, media personality Anele Mdoda has chosen to find amusement in the somewhat serious issue.
The radio presenter mocked Bester’s girlfriend, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, for wearing a perp walk to her first court appearance on Thursday.
Bester and Magudumana were apprehended in Tanzania on Friday of last week.
Magudumana walked with the authorities and appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court wearing white trousers and a green sweatshirt.
Anele stated that her attire was a strong indication that she was not expecting to be arrested.
“Nandipha was not planning on getting arrested. No one wears white pants if they know sh@t is about to hit the fan,” read the tweet she shared on her Instagram.

“The only insight I have on this ongoing debacle,” she continued.
Anele’s fans and celebrity colleagues such as Boity Thulo and Tb Touch thought her observation was rather funny and commented with laughing emojis.
Others gave their views on the case while one thought Magudumana should have known those were her unlucky pants.
MasekoBuhlebamancamane said: “Things are about to get orange for yena, let her enjoy white.”
While Hlotis1 said: “She should have known that that’s her unlucky pants. It’s the same one she was wearing when they were caught on camera at Woolworths. We can’t teach her everything.”
Magudumana appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday afternoon, charged with assisting and abetting a jail escape, murder, body violation, and fraud.
She will be back in court on Monday with the other co-accused in Bester’s prison escape.
