South African singer and soccer star Andile Mpisane is said to have recently purchased a classic BMW E30.
According to the magazine, Royal AM football head Andile Mpisane offered a deal to the BMW E30 owner that he couldn’t refuse.
“The chairman was told about the car by a friend. Classic BMW E30s have been increasing in value in recent years and can be seen as an investment,” adds the publication.
Although Chicanos Customs did not disclose how much the BMW E30 was sold for, it is revealed a complete restoration on a BMW E30 could cost up to R500,000.
According to the South African, Mpisane, who is known to live a wealthy lifestyle, already owns a fleet of Mercedes-Benzes, Nissan GT-R, McLaren GT, and an R3 million Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV. Tariq “Chip” Moosa, the shop’s owner, said he was surprised by the visit.
According to the Citizen, Andile Mpisane’s BMW E30 was recently restored for a 16-year-old.
The soccer player and his friends went to Chicanos Customs after a friend sent a link to a video of the work Chicanos Customs done on the automobile.
They went to the shop in the expectation that the chairman would buy the car.
According to the journal, ancient BMW E30s have appreciated in value in recent years and might be considered an investment.
Other South African celebrities, such Dr Musa Mthombeni and DJ Maphorisa, have purchased the BMW E30 because of its iconic position.
