AKA Reacts To His #SpotifyWrapped Chart After Increasing His Streams Significantly. It’s time for Spotify Wrapped, also known as the day of the year when you find out what music you want to listen to in 2022. The same is true for artists in terms of how their music is consumed, and SA rappers are no exception.
Following the success of his single Lemons Lemonade, AKA is one of the South African rappers with a Spotify Wrapped chart. From 2020 to 2022, the rapper’s chart showed a massive increase in streams and listeners. According to the rapper’s chart, the award-winning rapper had 4.7M streams in 2020, a 1.2M increase.
AKA‘s comeback to music with Lemons Lemonade and Paradise has proved to be a massive stepping stone for the rapper as he acquired 8.4M streams this year compared to the 5.9M streams in 2021. In response to the new Spotify Wrapped chart, the Supa Mega acknowledged the progress he has made in past years.
The rapper has vowed to slowly but surely aims to get more numbers on the music streaming platform with more music. “Slow and steady wins the race,” he tweeted. After the release of the Spotify Wrapped list, AKA went on to provide some advice to aspiring artists looking to make a name for themselves in the music industry.

The rapper advises up-and-coming artists to never be discouraged by the Spotify Wrapped chart as it doesn’t define what they are destined for. The Congratulate hitmaker urged rising artists to work on building a loyal fan base that will support them all the way.
“To all artists looking at all these Spotify wrapped thingy’s and feeling discouraged or feeling down for WHATEVER reason, just know that it doesn’t define you. Keep believing in your gift and go harder. Build a loyal fan base that will stick with you through thick and thin.” Tweeted AKA.
