Ntobeko Sishi, who plays the rebellious teenager Ntokozo Dlamini, leaves Gomora.
The actor left once his job ended, and he has now produced a new EP.
Speaking to Drum about his departure, the star says, “I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with that. I respect the people who do that because soapies and telenovelas are a lot of work, they are very demanding, they are very draining.”
“There’s so much more I have to offer, bigger and better stories I want to tell. Not just as an actor but especially as a musician.”
The star adds that his decision to leave Gomora was something that was fueled by wanting more from himself and knowing that the only way he can get more from himself was if he takes the uncomfortable step of leaving the stability.
His new nine-track ‘A New Night in the Hills’ dropped on Friday, 12 May. The 24-year-old actor also tells the publication that music was always something that nagged him, it was a consistent thing from when I was 13 years old.”
