DJ Maphorisa boasts about how he rules the music industry in South Africa.
On Twitter, the musician pays tribute to himself, reflecting about his 15-year service to the music industry.
Maphorisa believes he controls the business part of music well and better than most.
He also revealed that his astute efforts resulted to the sale of some music enterprises to major record labels.
“Been producing music for 15yrs, it’s ok to give other kids a chance. Nobody in SA runs music business the way I do, I talk big numbers I created a new business module that made aggregators to sell they companies to Major Labels; Universal Bought Electromode, Warner Bought Afrocori, Apple Bought Platoon I shifted the market share, boss moves,” he wrote.
However, Phori’s claim garnered divided tweets; as some persons endorsed his statement, while others falsified it.
