Dawn Thandeka King joined The Black Door spin-off Isitha – The Enemy. After DiepCity, she will star in Isitha.
The new drama series stars Sipho Ndlovu and Khanyisani Khwesa, according to City Press. She will play Eswatini Royal Chieftess Nomcebo Ngwenya in e.tv’s new show. Showrunners said the serial will premiere on 22 May 2023 with drama and excitement.
Dawn Thandeka is one of South Africa’s best actors.
She is most known for her role as MaNgcobo on Uzalo. The Sokhulu family’s struggles were established in The Black Door, which inspired Isitha – The Enemy.
And with Isitha – The Enemy, viewers will be introduced to Chuma Sokhulu, who was reported dead in The Black Door. He faces rejection, enemies and dangers at the royal homestead in Eswatini.
The show’s executive producer, Black Brain Pictures’ Mpumelelo Nhlapo, said: “We planned for The Black Door to run for a year as a way to break new ground and push the boundaries of South African television.
“Our vision has always been to tell the story of the Sokhulu family as a multi-chapter series that explores different aspects of their lives and relationships.
