Skeem Saam has surpassed Generations: The Legacy to become South Africa’s second most-watched soapie, after only Uzalo. According to Phil Mphela, the soapie has acquired more viewers in recent months. The popular show peaked at 4.3 million viewers in April, compared to 4.1 million viewers for Generations in the same month.

“Skeem Saam was the second most watched show, behind Uzalo, in South Africa in April,” Phil tweeted. Viewers celebrate the feat as the storyline is reportedly worth the success recorded.
