Nedbank will host the 2022 YouthX Summit, the most anticipated event of the year, after four successful YouthX live events across South Africa in Arts and Culture, Sports and Entertainment, Social Good and Sustainability, and Tech and Innovation categories inspired and unlocked young people. Taking place on Saturday, 3 December, at Victoria Yards in Johannesburg, the event will see four winners receive recognition and awards for entering their work as part of this year’s YouthX Awards.
Hosted by presenter and actor Moshe Ndiki, the annual closing event on the YouthX calendar is the hottest ticket in town and the ultimate youth festival. Nedbank will announce the 2022 winners here, who will receive over R300 000 in prizes, including R50 000 in cash, a Huawei technology bundle, and mentorship, learning, and networking.
Candidates had to be creative and come up with real-world, community-uplifting ideas. Creativity (40%), innovation (40%), and community upliftment (20%) determined the percentile weighting of entries.
The program’s awards inspire youth and give them the chance to win prizes and resources to fund their business ideas, existing businesses, or career advancement. 2022 YouthX changemakers will present each award:
