Nota Blames DJ Sumbody For His Death And Drags Cassper Nota Baloyi is no stranger to criticizing musicians in South Africa. Following DJ Sumbody’s death, the music executive has once again demonstrated that he has no boundaries when it comes to expressing his opinions.
DJ Sumbody’s death and the events surrounding it remain a mystery for the time being. The prominent DJ was reported dead after he and his driver were shot coming from an event heading to another one.
With the motive behind DJ Sumbody’s killing still unknown, Nota seemed to have his own theory as to what led to the death of the Monate Mpolaye hitmaker. Nota claimed in one of his tweets that DJ Sumbody was affiliated with criminal activities because of his desire for a “soft life.”
“Monate Mpolaye… We lost my brother Citi Lyts to these streets this year & there’s no justice in the streets. I pray the young impressionable ones learn that music & drugs don’t mix. Watch the company you keep because your talent is you ticket to the big time away from big crime!” Tweeted Nota.

In another tweet, the outspoken music executive made a comparison to Khuli Chana who survived police brutality after he was mistakenly shot in 2013. Nota stated that Sumbody succumbed to street brutality suggesting that he should’ve focused on making music instead of getting involved in gangsterism.
“Khuli Chana miraculously survived Police Brutality, DJ Sumbody succumbed to the street’s brutality… Should’ve focussed on the music but the soft life was too tempting, now it’s a hard pill to swallow. There are so many opportunities in life don’t loose it all impressing enemies!” He tweeted.

In terms of lack of compassion, Nota went even further. This is because he used DJ Sumbody‘s tragic death as an opportunity to disparage his ex-partner and presumed friend. This is because Cassper and Sumbody have previously gone on tour and released music together. All of this happened before it was revealed that DJ Sumbody was suing Cassper for R5 million.
As a result, Nota opined that Cassper Nyovest would be happy to hear of his passing because he would no longer have to make amends.
“Capper is the type of friend that has debts he can’t pay because the people he owes are no more… Keep him in your prayers at this time. Bad debts written off but his bad deeds will haunt him beyond the gave.He trolled Patrick to death, left a hole in his soul he’ll never fillup!” Nota added.
